Don’t forget about your body – it needs love too! Your body’s skin is thicker and more resilient. The skin on the body is often overlooked when it comes to repair and protection. Your body should follow the same regimen as your face minus a few steps:
Daily body ritual
- Cleanse
- Exfoliate
- Nourish
- Protect
Cleanse: Use a natural soap or body wash. Avoid using heavily fragranced body washes and lotions. Remember your skin is an organ. What you put on it gets absorbed. You should only use natural, non-toxic cleansers on your body
Exfoliate: Dry brush is an excellent way to exfoliate your skin daily. Scrub until your skin is lightly flushed with circulation. It needs blood flow brought to the surface regularly in order to detoxify and nourish cells.
Moisturise: Choose body lotions that are rich in natural oils and nutrients.
Protect: You must protect your body from the sun and other elements. Many diagnosed skin cancers occur in areas of the body exposed to the sun such as shoulders, back of hands, legs and feed – areas we often expose to the sun, unprotected. Use an SPF of 15 or higher on all areas of the body. Please remember that your paler, healthy skin is more beautiful than damaged, tanned skin.
